Anne Heche is on life care following a brain injury she sustained during a fiery crash just a week ago. Her recovery will not be guaranteed, as per the statement of a representative.

The actress -- who is currently in an induced coma and is in a critical condition is on life support to allow for an organ donation, as per the statement issued Thursday night by her family and close friends.
Heche has admitted to the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital in north Los Angeles -- suffered an "severe anoxic brain injury" according to the statement.
This type of accident is caused by continuous lack of oxygen supply in the brain.
"She is not expected to survive," the statement read.
"It has long been her choice to donate her organs and she is being kept on life support to determine if any are viable."
In the early morning of August 5th, Heche's car smashed into a home in the west of Los Angeles and a fire was sparked in the area, with the vehicle in the house.
In the early hours of Thursday at around midnight, the police announced that they were looking into Heche for driving while under the of alcohol.
Investigators on a warrant of search obtained a sample of her blood and discovered narcotics inside her blood, LAPD spokesperson Officer Jeff Lee told reporters.
The tests for toxicology -- that can take weeks to completeare required to determine the drug more precisely and to distinguish them from any other medication she was given to treat her in the hospital.
The evidence is being collected from the crash, authorities stated, and they will give evidence to prosecutors should it be necessary after the investigation is completed.
A spokesperson from Heche did not to comment on the probe.
This week, Heche spokesperson Heather Duffy Boylston claimed that her client has suffered from a brain injury for a while after the incident, suffering burns that required surgery , and lung injuries that required ventilators to breathe.
"Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit. More than her extraordinary talent, she saw spreading kindness and joy as her life's work -- especially moving the needle for acceptance of who you love," the statement from Thursday stated.
"She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and dearly missed for her light."
Heche 53 was one of the most prominent film actors in Hollywood in the 1990s, starring alongside actors like Johnny Depp (Donnie Brasco) and Harrison Ford (Six Days, Seven Nights).
